Ever since I was young, I enjoyed looking up at the night sky during a cool, crisp night and marveling at the endless sea of stars. Today, I’m a nightscape photographer and never get tired or bored by this subject because there are endless compositions and settings to shoot the Milky Way and night sky. When I can, I also chase the Northern Lights and seek to capture the magical green glows and colorful curtains of lights of the auroras in places like Alaska and Iceland. Capturing the magic of the night sky is the essence of this genre of photography. And if I can convey the awe of the Milky Way and Northern Lights, I’ve achieved my goal as a nightscape photographer.
